What’s the difference between Link Bank Account and Bank Account?
Both options connect your bank account to the Prisma Resident Portal. The difference is how the portal gets your account details.
| How it works | You sign in to your own bank through a Plaid window | You type in your routing and account numbers yourself |
| What you need | Your online banking username and password, and maybe your phone for a security code | Account holder’s name, routing number, account number (each typed twice), Checking or Savings, and your billing address |
| Where your login goes | Into Plaid, not into Prisma | Nothing to log in to |
| Risk of mistakes | Low, because Plaid gets the account straight from your bank and you pick it by name and last four digits | Higher, because a mistyped number can get a payment declined or returned |
| Where you find it | Make Payment → Payment Type, or Payment Methods → Add A Bank Account | Make Payment → Payment Type, or Payment Methods → Add A Bank Account |
